The Warriors' three-game winning streak has brought them to 3–3, but the November 1, 11:15 a.m. ET report rules out Curry, Butler, Green, Moody and Porzingis. The Clippers are 1–4 and also have multiple absences, including Beal and Ingram.

Podziemski had 21 points and six assists against the Lakers. Garland produced 24 and five at Minnesota.

Two younger players offer a useful decision-making lens: Wagler shot 2-for-11 but made seven free throws; Lendeborg went 2-for-3 with five turnovers and six fouls.

Watch the first advantage and the next pass. Without Curry, Golden State's movement deserves close attention; for the Clippers, a good opening drive needs a useful second option.

FULL PRIMER

The Big Story

Golden State has climbed to 3–3 with three straight wins. Now the next test arrives without Stephen Curry, who is out on the November 1, 11:15 a.m. ET injury report. The visiting Clippers enter 1–4.

This is a different viewing assignment from waiting for another Curry shooting burst. Watch how the Warriors create an advantage before the defense has been moved: who initiates, who cuts, and whether the next pass gives a teammate something easier to do.

Know These Names

Brandin Podziemski finished the 112–95 win over the Lakers with 21 points and six assists. De'Anthony Melton added 16 points and four threes. Those are useful recent reference points for watching Golden State's other creators, not predictions of tonight's workload.

For the Clippers, Darius Garland had 24 points and five assists in the 127–101 loss at Minnesota. Follow the teammate receiving his first pass as closely as Garland himself; a successful drive can be wasted if the next decision is slow.

The Plot Thickens

Curry is not Golden State's only absence. Jimmy Butler III, Draymond Green, Moses Moody and Kristaps Porzingis are also out, while Gui Santos is probable. The Clippers are without Bradley Beal, Brandon Ingram, Jordan Miller, Yanic Konan Niederhauser and Max Strus on the same 11:15 a.m. ET report.

That list makes assumptions about the usual combinations unreliable. Let the actual rotations establish who is carrying the handling, spacing and defensive responsibilities before deciding what the matchup should look like.

Keep Your Eye On…

Keaton Wagler scored 12 at Minnesota, but the details matter: he shot 2-for-11 from the field and 7-for-8 at the line. A rough shooting total did not mean every possession ended without value.

Watch whether he gets separated from his defender before the catch and what he does when that space closes. Passing out of a crowded attempt can be a better decision than trying to repair a shooting percentage with an even harder shot.

Did You Know?

Yaxel Lendeborg made two of his three shots against the Lakers, yet finished with six points, five turnovers and six fouls. Shooting accuracy alone missed much of what happened in that game.

That makes him an interesting player to follow away from the shot. Watch the catch in traffic, the pivot before a pass and the moment he decides whether to challenge an opponent's drive. Those decisions can shape a possession before anybody records a field-goal attempt.

The FanFluent Take

The Warriors finished their last game with 31 assists and 15 turnovers. The Lakers had 18 assists and 20 turnovers. Meanwhile, the Clippers shot 35-for-85 with 17 turnovers in Minnesota. These are separate-game clues, not a ready-made ranking of tonight's offenses.

Our focus is how each team makes the next decision easier. Golden State needs sources of advantage without Curry; the Clippers need productive sequences that survive beyond the initial attack. Watch movement after the first pass rather than only the final shooter.

Conversation Fuel

Conversation starter: who had the more misleading shooting line—Wagler at 2-for-11, or Lendeborg at 2-for-3? Wagler added seven made free throws; Lendeborg's night included five turnovers and six fouls. The bare field-goal fraction cannot describe either performance.

Use that comparison while watching. A missed shot can follow a sound possession, and a made shot can cover a shaky one. Look for repeatable decisions before declaring that either player has solved the matchup.
