Privacy Policy

Effective Date: September 16, 2026

Last Updated: 2026-09-16

This Privacy Policy explains how FanFluent handles information in connection with the FanFluent website and related sports information and fan-education services (the “Service”).

1. Who operates the Service

FanFluent is operated by FanFluent LLC. FanFluent is an independent sports information platform designed to help fans understand games, storylines, and context more quickly.

2. Information users may provide

FanFluent may receive information users provide voluntarily, including:

  • email address or other contact information
  • information submitted through a contact form or similar inquiry channel
  • account, profile, or preference information if account-based features are added
  • feedback, comments, or suggestions
  • communications with FanFluent
  • order, purchase, or fulfillment information if FanFluent later introduces commerce or merchandise

FanFluent does not currently require an account or membership to use the public website. Unless a feature is introduced and enabled, FanFluent does not currently rely on user accounts or a public email capture flow as a core product feature.

3. Information collected automatically

FanFluent may automatically collect information about how the Service is used and how the site is accessed. This may include technical details such as:

  • IP address or IP-derived information
  • browser type, operating system, and device type
  • pages viewed and navigation patterns
  • referring pages or entry sources
  • session activity and approximate usage information
  • approximate geographic information derived from network or device data
  • cookie, local storage, or similar device identifiers if such technologies are used for site functionality or analytics

The current application is built as a browser-based site and uses analytics tooling to understand usage and product improvement. The specific analytics implementation is described below.

4. Analytics

FanFluent currently uses PostHog for product analytics in the web app. PostHog is a third-party analytics service used to understand how users interact with the site, including site usage patterns, feature engagement, navigation flows, and performance.

Analytics may help FanFluent understand which pages and sections users view, which game pages are accessed, how users move through the app, and where product improvements may be needed. This information is used to improve the FanFluent experience and understand how readers engage with game-day content and editorial sections.

FanFluent does not claim any specific PostHog configuration beyond what is present in the repository. Any specific data collection, masking, retention, or other configuration should be reviewed against the active application and analytics settings in use at a given time.

5. Cookies and similar technologies

FanFluent may use cookies, local storage, or similar technologies for core site behavior and analytics. At present, the codebase does not indicate that a broad, intrusive cookie consent infrastructure is implemented solely for a marketing appearance. The current site does not include a functional consent framework that blocks or manages analytics before browser usage, and the configuration is not designed as a legal consent mechanism.

FanFluent relies on standard browser storage and analytics behavior only to the extent necessary for the service and product improvement. Users who want more control can use browser settings to manage cookies and related storage. Consent requirements should be reassessed as FanFluent expands geographically or adds new analytics, advertising, marketing, personalization, or other tracking technologies.

6. How information is used

FanFluent may use information to:

  • operate and maintain the Service
  • improve FanFluent content, product features, and user experience
  • understand site usage, engagement, and performance
  • respond to inquiries and support requests
  • prevent abuse, fraud, misuse, or security problems
  • fulfill orders or other commerce-related obligations if such features are introduced
  • comply with legal obligations

7. Service providers

FanFluent may use third-party service providers for hosting, infrastructure, analytics, content delivery, email, commerce tools, or related operational needs. At present, the repository identifies PostHog as a currently active analytics provider. Other providers may be added in the future, but any such expansion should be documented and assessed before activation.

8. Sale or sharing of personal information

FanFluent does not currently operate a broad advertising network, account system, or other business model that would justify broad-sale disclosures. The Service may, however, share information with service providers necessary to operate the site, provide analytics, or support technical operations. FanFluent does not seek to broadly sell personal information beyond ordinary service-provider relationships required to deliver the Service.

9. Data retention

FanFluent retains information only as long as needed to provide and improve the Service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. Retention periods are not always fixed in advance, and the actual period may depend on the type of information, operational needs, and applicable law.

10. Security

FanFluent uses reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards to protect information in transit and at rest where feasible. No internet service can guarantee absolute security, and users should use care when sharing information online.

11. Children

FanFluent is intended for a general audience and is not knowingly directed to children under 13. FanFluent is a consumer sports information service, not a child-directed program.

12. Privacy rights

Depending on the jurisdiction in which a user resides, they may have rights to request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information, subject to applicable law and operational limits. If a user wishes to ask about privacy, data access, or deletion requests, they should contact FanFluent using the contact information below or the contact page on this site.

13. Changes to this policy

FanFluent may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected in the “Last Updated” date at the top of this page. Continued use of the Service after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy to the extent permitted by applicable law.

14. Contact

For privacy, contact, or trust questions, please use the Contact page or reach out through the configured FanFluent contact mechanism.
